The Associated Press reports on the strenuous Catholic outreach efforts of the Clinton and Obama campaigns in Pennsylvania. Catholics make up 30-percent of the population there and may be the biggest factor in determining whether Clinton wins big and survives to fight another day or whether Obama narrows her commanding lead among white religious voters and vanquishes her candidacy. The AP has fresh reporting on the Catholic outreach operations of both Democratic candidates...

Why is it that the Catholic vote doesn't question Hillary or Obama on the primacy of life stressed in Faithful Citizenship? Yhe Democratic Party supports all of the social justice issues but this one. If this is primary how can a good Catholic Democrat vote for either candidate. I think they should articulate this.
How does Senator Bob Casey answer it?

CG,
I think it is inaccurate to say we don't question Hillary and Obama on the primacy of life. Where there are issues, we try and address them. (See my commentary on Abortion, which I am sure is what you are referring to) But we also support ALL LIFE, from conception to a natural death. This includes the ENTIRE commentary from Faithful Citizenship:
(From the 2 page bulletin hand out on www.faithfulcitizenship.com)
My question is why Catholics do not call McCain out Peace, Poverty and the Death Penalty?
