CG Lyman:

Why is it that the Catholic vote doesn't question Hillary or Obama on the primacy of life stressed in Faithful Citizenship? Yhe Democratic Party supports all of the social justice issues but this one. If this is primary how can a good Catholic Democrat vote for either candidate. I think they should articulate this.

This includes the ENTIRE commentary from Faithful Citizenship:

This teaching also compels us
as Catholics to oppose genocide, torture, unjust war, and the use of the death
penalty, as well as to pursue peace and help overcome poverty, racism, and other
conditions that demean human life.

My question is why Catholics do not call McCain out Peace, Poverty and the Death Penalty?

"On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.

"On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn-out dogmas, that for far too long have strangled our politics."
